Cast set for Epic's 'Palace'

Blackburn play to star Lamm, Sisto, Thompson

Epic Theater Ensemble has announced casting for its upcoming production of “Palace of the End,” the 2008 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winning monologue-play about the Iraq war. The three-hander will star Teri Lamm as convicted torturer Lynndie England, Rocco Sisto as British weapons inspector David Kelly and Judith Thompson as Iraqi communist Nehrjas Al Saffarh.

Production will be directed by Daniella Topol and open at Playwrights Horizons’ Peter Jay Sharp Theater on June 23. “Palace of the End” started life with the title “My Pyramids,” under which it was performed at the Traverse Theater in Edinburgh in 2005 before being further workshopped.
