Writer, editor Susan Kaminsky dies

Worked on 'Glow,' 'Talent,' 'The Twelve'

Novelist and editor Susan Kaminsky died on March 31 of respiratory failure in New York. She was 70. 

With her husband Howard, she co-authored five novels:  "The Glow" and "The Seventh Child" under the pseudonym Brooks Stanwood; "Talent" and "The Twelve" under their own names; and "The Storyteller" under the pen name Arthur Reid.

A 2002 television film adapted from "The Glow" starred Dean Cain and Portia de Rossi. Kaminsky was a senior fiction editor at the Saturday Evening Post, a senior editor at E. P. Dutton, where she edited Rachel Carson and Charles McCarry, and a member of the board of directors of Literacy Partners. 

She is survived by her husband Howard, her daughter Jessica Rock, a television writer, and a grandson.
