Lee faced off with dance troupes KABA Modern and JabbaWockeeZ, who won for Favorite Reality Star.
The kudo ceremony, which will air on E! on May 1, honors the achievements of Asians and Asian Americans in entertainment. Originally created by former Broadway thesp Welly Yang seven years ago in Gotham, the event first took place at Carnegie Hall as a concert.
Quentin Tarantino, on hand to present "Saturday Night Live" alum Rob Schneider with the honorary "Half Asian Award," remarked on the growing prevalence of Asian pics and headliners at the domestic box office.
"It's been steadily growing for the last 10 years. I remember when Miramax and I released 'Iron Monkey' on over 1,000 screens and at the time it was a record opening weekend for a subtitled film. Now that record has been left in the dust. Today, we have the superstar pairings of Jet Li and Jackie Chan which are geared toward the Hollywood multiplexes."
