James Bundy, a.d. of the theater, will helm. Further casting is not set, and it is not known whether this 60th anni production will be an all-black cast (a la Broadway's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof") or multi-racial. The show will run April 24-May 23, 2009.
The Rep's season will also include a world preem, "Notes from Underground," adapted from the Fyodor Dostoevsky novel by Robert Woodruff and Bill Camp, helmed by Woodruff and featuring Camp. The production will run March 20 to April 11.
Other shows are Sarah Ruhl's epic trilogy "Passion Play," staged by Mark Wing-Davey (Sept. 19-Oct. 11); the East Coast preem of Octavio Solis' "Lydia," helmed by Juliette Carrillo, who staged the work in January in Denver (Feb. 6-Feb. 28, 2009); and Tom Stoppard's "Rough Crossing," helmed by Mark Rucker (Nov. 28-Dec. 4). A sixth work is still to be announced.
