Jeremy Piven speeds to 'Plow'

Piven ("Entourage") will play one of two dueling movie producers in the three-hander. "Plow" also will mark the first Broadway credit for director Neil Pepe, a.d. of Off Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company (which Mamet co-founded).
Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Steve Traxler produce. The trio head the producing team of Mamet's latest Main Stem comedy, "November," running at the Barrymore, and the Tony-winning 2005 revival of the scribe's "Glengarry Glen Ross."
"Plow" has not been seen on Broadway since it preemed in a Lincoln Center Theater production 20 years ago. Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum topline a London incarnation that ends its run Saturday.
Design team for the Gotham staging will likely include Scott Pask (sets), Laura Bauer (costumes) and Brian MacDevitt (lights).
Piven was last seen on the boards in New York in a 2004 Off Broadway production of Neil LaBute's "Fat Pig." No other casting for "Plow" has yet been confirmed.
Producers of the revival aim to begin previews Oct. 3 ahead of an Oct. 23 opening at a theater to be announced.
