Biopic "The King," about the late TV host Graham Kennedy, was the big winner, picking up the award for drama and best actor for Stephen Curry.
Claudia Karvan took top actress for skein "Love My Way."
Sky News political editor David Speers and journalist Kieran Gilbert were honored for outstanding performance by a presenter and outstanding performance by a broadcast journalist respectively for their coverage of the 2007 federal election. The news channel also won the laurel for news program.
Top local male personality was rocker Jimmy Barnes and female was Antonia Kidman, Nicole Kidman's sister, a presenter on Foxtel's W. Channel.
Viewers voted "Australia's Next Top Model" fave local program; international program went to "High School Musical 2"; and Gordon Ramsay was dubbed favorite foreign personality.
International program honors went to "The Riches"; best event went to Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards; while MTV's "Snoop" was deemed best short program.
Top kids show was Nickelodeon's "Camp Orange: The Mystery of Spaghetti Creek."
FOX8 was voted channel of the year.
