Trio receive fashion design awards

Regan, Thomas, Callaghan win prizes

Makeup artist Patricia Regan, costume designer Catherine Marie Thomas and hairstylist Colleen Callaghan have been tapped to receive awards at this year's Designing Hollywood gala.

The eighth annual ceremony, sponsored by New York Women in Film & Television and co-presented by Variety, honors women who have had notable careers in the costume, hair and makeup fields.

Regan's long list of movie and TV credits most recently includes "Project Runway" and "Flight of the Conchords"; Thomas' work was seen on both "Kill Bill" pics and "27 Dresses"; while Callaghan's resume includes hairstyling for "Frost/Nixon" and "A Beautiful Mind."

Gala is set for May 19 at New York's Time-Life building.
