"The show is ecstatic and so is Britney,'' an unnamed source told People. ``She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more.''
Spears, 26, garnered good reviews for her guest-starring role as a goofy receptionist in the March 24 episode of the show. The show ended with Spears' character flirting with womanizer Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).
Earlier this month, an executive producer for the show said he's open to having Spears return for another cameo.
FOX studios would not confirm Spears was returning to the show, the Web site reported.
