'Bond' stuntman hospitalized in Italy

Aris Comninos seriously injured on 'Solace' set

HOLLYWOOD -- A stuntman remains in serious condition in an Italian hospital after the latest in a series of accidents on the set of James Bond pic "Quantum of Solace."

Aris Comninos was driving in narrow, winding streets around Lake Garda when his Alfa Romeo was in collision with another vehicle late Wednesday evening. His co-driver, Bruno Verdirosi, also was injured but less seriously.

EON Prods. suspended filming on Thursday while the accident was being probed.

Director Marc Forster, star Daniel Craig and cast members were not present when the accident occurred.

On Saturday Aston Martin employee Jonathan Dunn Fraser lost control of the Aston Martin DBS he was delivering to the set and drove into the lake. He was slightly injured when he smashed his way out of the vehicle and swam for safety.

On Monday a stuntman was injured during a car chase scene.
