Play by Loomer ("Living Out"), about a mother struggling to learn whether her son has attention deficit disorder, preemed last year at the Mark Taper Forum in LA.
Nixon ("Sex and the City") won a 2006 Tony for her turn in the Manhattan Theater Club production of "Rabbit Hole." Recent stage roles also include "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" and "The Women."
Helmer of the new tuner "Cry-Baby," Brokaw also directed "Suddenly Last Summer" at the Roundabout in 2006.
Perfs of "Distracted" are planned to begin in February 2009 at the Laura Pels Theater, the Roundabout's Off Broadway stage.
