Thurman prepares for 'Motherhood'

Driver, Edwards join Dieckmann's comedy

Uma Thurman, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards will star in indie laffer “Motherhood,” written and directed by Katherine Dieckmann.

The day-in-the-life feature has Thurman as a harried mother of two prepping for her daughter’s sixth birthday party as myriad urban challenges confront her.

Driver and Edwards will play Thurman’s best friend and husband, respectively.

Estimated 25-day shoot begins lensing in Gotham in May with a budget of almost $10 million. The feature will take advantage of New York's new 35% tax incentives.

Film was produced by Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon for Killer Films and Jana Edelbaum and Rachel Cohen for Ideal Partners Film Fund. John Wells will exec producer.

Thurman stars in drama “The Life Before Her Eyes,” opening this Friday, and alongside Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in “The Accidental Husband,” due out in August.
