Fox, Farrelly brothers eye 'Beaujolais'

Arnold, Poole sell redneck adventure spec

Fox has preemptively bought Mike Arnold and Chris Poole's spec "Beaujolais" for Bobby and Peter Farrelly to produce through their Conundrum banner as a potential directing vehicle.

Project has been dubbed a redneck action-adventure with a protagonist along the lines of an Austin Powers or Ace Ventura.

Conundrum's Bradley Thomas is producing alongside the Farrellys.

"We haven't stepped up and done something like us in a while," Bobby Farrelly said. "Everything sort of aligned for us on this project."

The Farrellys most recently helmed "Heartbreak Kid." Their comedy TV series "Unhitched" is on Fox.
