'Bash'd' to hit Off Broadway

Performances at Zipper Factory set for June

Fringe hit "Bash'd!" has nailed down the details of its Off Broadway commercial run, beginning perfs at the Zipper Factory Theater in June.

Gay rap opera played the Toronto Fringe before it won the kudo for outstanding tuner at the 2007 New York Intl. Fringe Fest.

Production stars creators Chris Craddock and Nathan Cuckow as a gay couple affected by a hate crime. Story is told entirely in rap and spoken word.

Ron Jenkins helms the production, which has music by Aaron Macri.

Stephen Kocis, Carl D. White, Paul Boskind, and Michael Filerman produce. Show begins previews June 12 ahead of a June 23 opening.
