The ceremony was hosted by comedian Gavin Crawford, who also shared the award for variety show with 11 co-writers for an episode of the long-running news format comedy "This Hour Has 22 Minutes," which airs on pubcaster CBC.
Travis McDonald drew the feature nod for Carrie-Anne Moss starrer "Normal," while Ian Weir took the miniseries prize for "Dragon Boys," a two-parter about Asian-Canadian street gangs in Vancouver.
The six-part saga "Across the River to Motor City" won for one-hour drama series. Half-hour drama series went to "Corner Gas" (on commercial web CTV and the Comedy Network in Canada, WGN in the U.S.).
