MGM launches HD in Israel

Channel available as part of YES platform

LONDON -- MGM Networks is launching an HD channel in Israel this spring. The new channel will reach nearly every cable and satellite subscriber and will be simulcast alongside the existing standard-definition MGM Channel. The new channel will be available as part of Israeli DTH (direct-to-home) platform YES.

Both high- and standard-definition channels are 100% owned by MGM.

The Lion's first HD launch was its dedicated channel in Poland in December 2006. In October last year, MGM launched an HD channel in the U.S.
