BBC Worldwide has unveiled a host of sales on its major new skein "Earth: The Power of the Planet," a five-part HD series that looks at the Earth's formation over 4.5 billion years.

The commercial arm of the Brit pubcaster has inked deals with 34 TV companies, including Chinese pubcaster China Central TV, La Cinquieme in France, Tiscali Italia Spa in Italy, TBS in Japan and Discovery HD in Canada.

Sky Network in New Zealand, the South African Broadcasting Corp., Egypt's Oryx Prods. and Arabian Gulf Prods. will also air the co-production between BBC, National Geographic Channel U.S. and German pubcaster ZDF. Regional Spanish webs Televiso de Catalunya, Television Autonomia Madrid, Televiso Autonomica Valenciana, Euskal Telebista and Television Autonomica Aragon have also picked up local broadcasting rights.

Deals were completed during the Mip TV market, which wrapped on Friday.
