Comarex plays nice with EM Ent.

Reupped deal covers TV, home ent rights

CANNES  -- Comarex, the Mexico City-based global distrib, has reupped its agreement to market German kids' animation producer and distributor EM Ent.'s portfolio in the U.S. and Latin America.

The deal, first signed in 2001, covers exclusive TV and home entertainment rights as well as non-exclusive merchandising rights for Latin America.

Comarex's distribution of Spanish-language versions of EM Ent. programs in the U.S. is on a nonexclusive basis.

Announced at Mip TV, deal covers EM mini-classics, including adaptations of Astrid Lindgren books "Pippi Longstocking" and "Emil From Lonneberga," as well as new productions  including animated action-adventure "Master Raindrop," action comedy series "Stains Down Drains" and preschool toon show "Zigby."
