Bavaria selling 'Storm of Love'

Media co. inking Mip deals for hit telenovela

Bavaria Media Television has inked a number of deals for pubcaster ARD's hit telenovela "Storm of Love" at the Mip TV program mart.

Company said Tuesday it had sold the series to Italian-language Swiss broadcaster RTSI as well as Bosnia's PBS.

In Italy, where "Storm of Love" has become a primetime success on commercial broadcaster Rete 4, media group Hachette Fascicoli picked up DVD rights to the skein.

The telenovela has so far sold in 22 territories.

Bavaria also extended existing deals for "Storm of Love" with Finland's SubTV and Canadian web CJNT. The distrib is offering 870 one-hour episodes of the popular daily series.
