Stones shine 'Light' in Britain
Rockers bring documentary back home

Described cheekily by bassist Ron Wood as "only a little taster" of the band's nearly half-century career, "Light" takes Rolling Stone fans on a reminiscent journey back to 2006, when the foursome was on its Bigger Bang tour.
Gatherers defied London's rainy weather to get a sneak peak of the hard-rocking film, which preemed at the Odeon Leicester Square and was simultaneously broadcast to 100 cinemas nationwide.
Scorsese, along with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Wood were joined by guests including Charles Dance, Chris Evans, the BBC's Alan Yentob, Liam Gallagher of band Oasis, Sean Maguire ("Meet the Spartans"), Brit playwright Tom Stoppard and comedians Noel Fielding and Rob Brydon.
Praising Scorsese, Jagger commented that working with him had been both "fantastic" and far too short-lived.
Richards quickly quelled any suspicion that the premiere marked a grand farewell for the band, nostalgically adding, "It's kinda weird because I'm just a guitar player. My grandfather used to play violin for the crowds here, he was a busker, so in a way it's one for granddad."
