Comcast pushes E! worldwide

Deals add CIM, Virgin, PT, SBB, T-Com

CANNES — Comcast Intl. Media continues to roll out its flagship E! International Network channel around the globe.

In new deals announced Tuesday at Mip TV by Brad Wald, managing director for CIM in Europe, U.K. cable and broadband operator Virgin Media, Portuguese telco PT Telekom, SBB, Serbia’s biggest cabler, and top Croatian IPTV player T-Com have all signed on for E! carriage.

Outside Europe, Africa’s leading satcaster Multichoice has added the celeb/entertainment channel to its offer for Angola and Mozambique.

The deals raise the E! Intl. Network’s international penetration to 75 million households outside the U.S.
