Olivia Williams ("X-Men: The Last Stand") has been added to the cast of Fox's highly anticipated "Dollhouse," while castings Thursday also included Eion Bailey in CBS' "Can Openers" and Troy Gentile in NBC's "Zip."
In "Dollhouse," Williams will play the beautiful but ruthless woman in charge of the venue where drones are programmed to perform various missions in the real world. Eliza Dushku stars as Echo, one of the "dolls" who starts to become self aware.
In "Can Openers," Bailey plays Dr. Pete Anderson, a chief resident at the end of his seven-year neurosurgical residency.
Sony Pictures TV is producing the show, along with exec producers Denis Leary and Jim Serpico, for CBS; pilot will be shot in New York.
Bailey's credits include the upcoming indies "Untitled" and "Canyon." He was also in "Almost Famous," "Fight Club," "Band of Brothers" and "ER."
Gentile will play Nelson, the son to Steven Weber's character in "Zip."
Pilot stars Weber as a divorced father and conman who moves his family to Beverly Hills. NBC Universal TV and Reveille are behind the project.
Gentile's credits include "Drillbit Taylor" and "Good Luck Chuck," as well as the upcoming "Hotel for Dogs."
