Azteca gets 'Legal' at Mip TV mart

Show runs on Azteca's channel 13

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's TV Azteca is taking drama "Alma Legal" (Legal Love) to the Mip TV mart in Cannes, which starts on Monday, via the web's international sales arm Comarex.

"Alma," marketed as a "romantic series with a twist of dark humor," centers on the unlikely romance between Blanca (Gabriela de la Garza), a successful lawyer, and her sexist boss Victor (Jose Alonso).

"This is a 20-episode mini-series," said TV Azteca's VP for Intl. Sales Marcel Vinay. "It will not be a soap opera."

The show runs on Azteca's channel 13 in its 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. slot, followed by sudster "Vivir por ti" (Living Without) - another item the web plans to send to Cannes along with telenovela "Montecristo," soap operas "Tengo todo exepto ti" (All Except Your Love), "Belleza indomables" (Untamed Beauties), "Mientras haya vida" (Love Under Construction) as well as the series "Cambio de vida" and "Se busca un hombre" (Men Wanted).
