Starhub adds Eurosport channel

Singapore cable co. lines up free sports package

HONG KONG -- Singapore's pay TV platforms are both adding channels to their lineups.

Cabler and market leader StarHub is adding Eurosport to its sports package as of April 15 at no extra cost to subscribers, upping the company's sports pack to nine channels, in addition to a separate three-net cricket option.

SingTel-backed newcomer mioTV, which broadcasts via Internet Protocol TV, this week adds ETTV Asia Channel and Asia Plus as exclusive options.

The Mandarin channels are packaged by Taiwanese cabler ETTV and carry lifestyle, variety and entertainment shows, with Asia Plus home to awards shows including the Golden Melody Awards, the Chinese music industry's music kudos; the Golden Bell TV Awards; and Golden Horse Awards for film, held in Taiwan.
