  • Kimmel set a Guinness world record when he hosted both a week of not only his own show but also "Live With Regis and Kelly," commuting every day between New York and Los Angeles. He traveled 22,406 miles, the longest distance anyone has ever traveled in one five-day work week.

  • On Jan. 10, 2008, Kimmel appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and then Leno returned the favor, appearing on "Live" later in the evening.

  • Kimmel uses many family members on the show, including uncle Frank Potenza as a security guard, and cousin Sal Iacono and Aunt Chippy in several skits.

  • Prior to hosting his show, Kimmel was a radio sports commentator, appeared on the gameshow "Win Ben Stein's Money" and co-hosted "The Man Show" with longtime friend Adam Carolla.
