Sakson named VP at Participant

Former Universal exec to oversee publicity dept.

Jeffrey Sakson has joined Participant Media as vice president of publicity. He will report to executive vice presidents of marketing Buffy Shutt and Kathy Jones whom he previously worked with at Universal.

Sakson has spent the past 22 years working in the Universal marketing department, most recently serving as its senior vice president of publicity. He handled publicity campaigns for major film releases such as "The Emperor's Club," "Jarhead," and "Curious George."
