The pic, helmed by Giacomo Campeotto, was produced by Tivi Magnusson and Mie Andreasen for M&M Productions. A third film in the series is in the works and will open later this year.
Finnish adventure film “Mystery of the Wolf” won the audience award.
“Wolf,” which tells the story of the friendship between a wolf and a girl, was helmed by Raimo O. Niemi and produced by Leila Lyytikainen and Claes Olsson for Kineproduction.
Pic has been screened at more than 30 international fests, and won awards in Lubeck, London and Cairo.
The Los Angeles Film Festival has been able to corral major studio pics to anchor a 10-day program dedicated to new American and foreign indie films.
