'Knights' wins Riga top award

'Wolf' takes audience prize

STOCKHOLM — Danish adventure pic “The Lost Treasure of the Knights Templar II” won the main prize at the Riga Intl. Children’s Film Festival, which wrapped Sunday.

The pic, helmed by Giacomo Campeotto, was produced by Tivi Magnusson and Mie Andreasen for M&M Productions. A third film in the series is in the works and will open later this year.

Finnish adventure film “Mystery of the Wolf” won the audience award.

“Wolf,” which tells the story of the friendship between a wolf and a girl, was helmed by Raimo O. Niemi and produced by Leila Lyytikainen and Claes Olsson for Kineproduction.

Pic has been screened at more than 30 international fests, and won awards in Lubeck, London and Cairo.
