'Mythological X,' '90210' find stars

'Harper's Island' adds Samantha Noble

The lead in CBS' "Mythological X" is mythological no more, while The CW's "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff has found its first resident.

Also in casting news Monday, Australian thesp Samantha Noble booked one of the leads in the Eye's "Harper's Island," less than 24 hours after flying in from Oz.

On the "90210" spinoff, Dustin Milligan, who appeared last summer in the short-lived CW drama "Runaway," has been cast in the supporting role of Ethan. Character is a likable jock who falls out of favor with the in crowd and starts hanging out with the "90210" crew.

Rob Thomas ("Veronica Mars") is exec producing the "90210" revival, which hasn't yet been given an official greenlight.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Reaser ("Grey's Anatomy") is set to play the leading role of Annabel on "Mythological X." Pilot revolves around a woman who discovers via a psychic that she has already dated and dumped the man she was supposed to marry.

20th Century Fox TV is behind "Mythological X," which is exec-produced by Diane Ruggiero and Jonathan Levin; Timothy Busfield is directing. Reaser's credits also include "Grey's" spinoff "Private Practice."

Then there's Noble, who will play Trish Wellington on the murder mystery "Harper's Island."

Noble, the daughter of "Lord of the Rings" thesp John Noble, managed to book the "Harper's" gig just hours after touching down at LAX.

Noble, who began in modeling, starred in the Australian oater "Gabriel."

CBS Paramount Network TV is behind the project. Also newly cast on the project: Ryan Merriman ("Smallville") and Elaine Cassidy ("The Lost World").

Jon Turteltaub is helming "Harper's Island," as well as exec producing.
