'Amish' guys in new reality

Laikind, Cantor turn focus to Lily Dale

"Amish in the City" producers Daniel Laikind and Steven Cantor are headed back to small-town America for their next reality show.

Duo's Stick Figure Prods. has struck a deal giving it authorization to produce a series in (and about) the New York town of Lily Dale -- a so-called spiritualist community populated by licensed mediums and clairvoyants. Not surprisingly, tourists regularly trek there to connect with dead relatives and learn their future.

Stick Figure, which is also known for documentaries such as "Devil's Playground" and "Bounce: Behind the Velvet Rope," is looking to create a one-hour reality skein that's being described as "Lost" meets "Fantasy Island," according to people familiar with the project. Normal folks will travel to Lily Dale in order to solve crises or achieve closure to unresolved issues in their lives.

Other producers and networks have reportedly tried to secure the town's cooperation for projects, but this one appears to be the first for which Lily Dale's leaders have given their blessing.

Stick Figure and its reps at Endeavor are in the process of pitching the concept to networks.

Allan Grafman brought the project to Stick Figure and will serve as exec producer, along with Laikind and Cantor. Stick Figure produces "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane" for Style, and that show was recently greenlit for another season.
