Manager Miles Bell dies at 61

Clients included comedians, magicians, bands

Artist manager Miles Bell, whose clients included comedians, singers, entertainers and bands, died March 19 of kidney failure in Nashville. He was 61.

Over the course of 30 years, Bell repped clients including comedians T. "Bubba" Bechtol and Lonnie Shore, magician Harry Blackstone, Jr., recording artist Sandy Kastel, singer/comedian Sandy Hackett and bands including The Moffatts, 4 The Cause, The Blues Other Brothers and country music parodist Cledus T. Judd.

Bell was born and raised in Clarksburg, W.V. and graduated West Virginia U.

In addition to managing artists and supervising recordings, he booked talent for hotels, casinos and cruise lines, and was president of the largest DJ service in the U.S. for several years.
