'Epitaph' headed for N. America

TLA Releasing nabs rights to feature

South Korean seller Studio 2.0 struck multiple sales deals at the recent Filmart in Hong Kong, including North American rights for atmospheric horror film "Epitaph" to TLA Releasing.

The critically praised "Epitaph", set in a 1942-era hospital, was also sold to CCRE for Japan and Celestial Movie Channel for Hong Kong. Celestial picked up romantic comedy "Highway Star" and two library titles as well.

Meanwhile "Aachi & Ssipak", an animated film about a futuristic society powered by human feces, was sold to Notro for Spain.

Other Asian deals include "Highway Star" to H.G.C. for China, and relationship drama "Lovers of 6 Years" and "Highway Star" to Vietnam's Diamond Cinema.
