Mans Herngren starts swim comedy

Swedish film to star Inde, Davin, McManus

STOCKHOLM -- Helmer Mans Herngren has started production on an untitled comedy about synchronized swimming.

The 24.5 million kroner ($4 million) production will be shot in Stockholm and in Berlin, and tells the story of a man who tries to get a swim team together to compete in the sport's world championship.

Pic stars Jonas Inde, Amanda Davin and Paula McManus and is produced by Rebecka Hamberger for S/S Fladen, with Nordisk Film, Swedish pubcaster SvT, Zentropa and Gadda Five as co-producers. The Swedish premiere is scheduled for Dec. 25.

Together with Hans Holm, Herngren previously helmed hits "Every Other Week" and "Adam & Eve."
