Mark Burnett will be back as exec producer of MTV's annual film kudos.
Reality guru made his debut as exec producer of the MTV Movie Awards last year. Strong ratings for the 2007 show -- the event was the top-rated telecast among viewers 12-34 the night it aired, and rose 9% vs. 2006 numbers --- made a sequel likely.
The 2008 Movie Awards will air live Sunday, June 1, once again originating from the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City.
In a subtle dig at the Oscars, Burnett called the MTV kudos "the most relevant movie awards show in America today.
"(It) honors the movies that millions of young Americans go to see," the producer said.
