The production company run by Arnold and Anne Kopelson generated the original idea, about a father and son who move to New Mexico and uncover a large shiny object buried in the desert behind their home. The discovery triggers events beyond their wildest imaginations.
The Kopelsons will produce and Ryan Engle will be exec producer.
Paulsen's scripting credits include "The Nanny Diaries" for Warner Bros., and she is writing "Further Adventures in Babysitting" for Disney.
