Kudo was created to recognize individuals for their support, vision and dedication to the entertainment industry and the School of Cinematic Arts. Meyer is a member of the school's board of councilors.
Previously known as First Look, the fest will for the first time present industry-juried awards with cash prizes of up to $2,000 for filmmakers. USC alumni judges include producer/editor Bob Ducsay ("The Mummy"), William Morris agent Ramses Ishak, producer Michelle Manning ("The Eye") and helmer Randy Zisk ("Prison Break").
Forty-six films will screen during the event, which will be held March 28-30 on the USC campus. Winning films will be feted and screened at a ceremony on April 2 at the Directors Guild of America.
