Nordic filmmakers win in Cairo

'Mystery of the Wolf' wins best feature

STOCKHOLM -- Two Scandinavian features won top honors at the Cairo Intl. Film Festival for Children, which ended this week.

Finland's "Mystery of the Wolf," helmed by Raimo O Niemi, won the Golden Cairo for best feature, while Sweden's "Leaps and Bounds," helmed by Norwegian helmer Petter Naess, won the prize of the Intl. Center of Films for Children (CIPEJ).

The Golden Cairo for best short was won by "Doggie" from the Netherlands, helmed by Simon Van Dasildrop, and the Special Jury Prize was won by "Care of Footpath" from India, helmed by Kishan Shrikanth.
