After revelations of her $80,000 relationship with Governotorious Eliot Spitzer, Dupre's MySpace page was a hot item as lookie-loos checked out her pictures and listened to her posted music tracks.
Even better is her listing on AmieStreet.com, a Queens-based online music site that sets prices for songs based on popularity. On the morning of March 13, you could get Dupre's music for free. Within a few hours, the price was up to 30¢. By the end of the day, her first song, "What We Want," hit Amie Street's top price of 98¢. Overnight she uploaded a second track, "Move Ya Body," which also seemed to be selling briskly.
Meanwhile, the relentlessly anti-corruption governor had nothing but sad songs to sing as the media dissected the event and trotted out "experts" ranging from onetime Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss to radio therapist Dr. Laura Schlessinger (who pointed to Spitzer's wife as the real reason for his cheatin' heart) and anthropologist Helen Fisher (who said Spitzer's large forehead and high cheekbones indicate a lot of testosterone).
