"Captain Abu Raed," the Jordanian pic that picked up the World Cinema Audience Award at Sundance, has been acquired for international distribution by Fortissimo Films.

Pic, helmed by Amin Matalqa, also screened at December's Dubai Film Festival and will get its market preem at Hong Kong's Filmart. Story is of an airport janitor who enthralls neighborhood kids with imaginary stories of international travel.

Fortissimo deal excludes rights in the Middle East and North America.
