Parker, who is scheduled to begin shooting a screen version of the novel and hit stage show "Coram Boy" later this year, was the event's honorary president and received a trophy of honor.
Hampton received the prize for best adaptation screenwriter. The scribe behind "Dangerous Liaisons" and "Atonement" will next see his adaptation of the Colette novella "Cheri" brought to the bigscreen by Stephen Frears.
Marjane Satrapi received best literary adaptation for "Persepolis."
At the glitzy annual event, attended by predominantly French talent including director Regis Wargnier, actress Marianne Denicourt and best-selling author Jean-Christophe Grange, "Les Vivants et les Ombres," (The Living and the Shadows) won best adaptable novel for author Diane Meur.
Top-selling graphic novel author and filmmaker Enki Bilal handed out the prize for best adaptable graphic novel to "RG," by Pierre Dragon and Frederik Peeters, while Japanese artist Yoshitaka Amano received a trophy of honor.
Best literary adaptation for television went to Claire Devers for "The Hanged Man," adapted from Henry James' "The Third Person."
French producer Thomas Langmann won best producer of an adaptation, based on a movie's box office performance, for the Gallic blockbuster "Asterix at the Olympic Games."
