Hansen handles some of the network's top reality entries, including gamer "Deal or No Deal" and competish "Last Comic Standing," as well as the Golden Globe Awards.
She'll continue to report to department topper Craig Plestis, NBC Entertainment's exec VP of alternative programming, development and specials.
Plestis said Hansen "brings great passion, creativity and enthusiasm to her work and has demonstrated her spot-on instincts.
"She had been an integral part of the ongoing success of some of NBC's most successful alternative shows, " he added.
Hansen will also work on shows such as "Nashville Star," which is moving from USA to NBC.
Hansen was previously VP of alternative series and specials at NBC and USA, working on reality series and specials for the sister webs. She has also spent solo time at USA, as well as done stints at ABC, Brillstein-Grey and Touchstone TV.
