Commercial Institute, O’Neill pair on project

The Commercial Theater Institute and the O’Neill Theater Center have teamed up for a new how-to program for budding producers, the CTI-O’Neill Summer Workshop.

Four-day event, planned for July 17-20 at the O’Neill in Waterford, Conn., will task attendees with creating hypothetical biz strategies for each of the shows selected that summer for the O’Neill’s annual play and musical developmental programs.

Conference will be led by two producers, O’Neill board chair Tom Viertel and CTI director Jed Bernstein, aided by other Gotham legit pros.

Tuition and meals come to $800, with attendance limited to 12. Due in mid-May, applications are accepted both through CTI and the O’Neill.
