Show is the CW's answer to the two-decade-old "Farm Aid" -- except in this case, the network is hooking a farmer up with some lovin', not with funds to forestall his foreclosure.
"Farmer Wants a Wife" follows 10 city women as they attempt to charm the overalls off a farmer who hasn't been able to find love in the country. Show takes the spot left empty following the season finale of "Pussycat Girls Present: Girlicious," which is "American Idol" to "Farmer Wants a Wife's" "The Bachelor."
Show, already a big hit in the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden and France, among other territories, comes from FremantleMedia North America. Adam Cohen, Cara Tapper and Joanna Vernetti exec produce.
