Cast set for new Neil LaBute play

'reasons to be pretty' opens Off Broadway

Piper Perabo, Alison Pill, Pablo Schreiber and Thomas Sadoski will star in MCC Theater's Off Broadway production of the new Neil LaBute play, "reasons to be pretty."

Sadoski ("Reckless") plays a man whose off-the-cuff crack about a co-worker's pretty face has lasting consequences. Pill ("Mauritius") portrays his girlfriend, while Schreiber ("Awake and Sing!") plays his friend Kent. Perabo ("Coyote Ugly") plays Kent's wife.

Helmed by Terry Kinney ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"), the world preem of "pretty" begins a limited run at the Lucille Lortel Theater May 14 ahead of a June 2 opening.

In recent years MCC has produced LaBute plays "Fat Pig," "Some Girl(s)," and "In a Dark Dark House," among others.
