"The Shield" alum Charles "Chic" Eglee is trading in one anti-hero for another, joining Showtime's serial killer hit "Dexter" as an exec producer.
Eglee fills the void left by Daniel Cerone, who departed the show after its second season (and who recently took the reins of ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money"). Clyde Phillips continues as showrunner on "Dexter."
Eglee's credits also include "Dark Angel," "Murder One," "NYPD Blue" and"The Byrds of Paradise."
"Dexter" stars Michael C. Hall as a Miami police department lab technician who also happens to be a serial killer -- targeting other villains as his prey.
