'Momma' goes to MOMA
Film premiered at Sundance
Pic from writer-director Azazel Jacobs ("The GoodTimesKid") follows a young man who visits his parents and discovers that staying in his childhood bedroom is much simpler than returning to his wife and newborn. Jacob's real-life parents, Flo and Ken Jacobs, also star.
"Momma's" producers Alex Orlovsky, Hunter Gray and exec producer Paul Mezey are rematched with ThinkFilm, with whom they partnered on 2006 critical fave "Half Nelson." Deal was negotiated by ThinkFilm's Mark Urman, Randy Manis and Ben Stambler, with Cinetic Media representing the filmmakers. Urman intends to release the film in exclusive engagements later this year.
