Cat tale 'Oggy' coughs up TV deals

Animated French show back for third season

BARCELONA -- Marc du Pontavice's Paris-based Xilam Animation has closed a bunch of broadcasting deals for the third season of cat saga "Oggy."

France's Canal Plus, Italy's Mediaset, Belgian pubcaster VRT, Finnish MTV (holding company owned by Nordic Broadcasting), and Israel's Noga TV have acquired "Oggy and the Cockroaches."

Producer and distributor Xilam's credits include series "The New Adventures of Lucky Luke" and "Shuriken School." "Oggy" will be Xilam's flagship offering at the April 7-11 Mip TV mart in Cannes.
