Levy joined Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment in 1982 as a marketing consultant. He segued into marketing and communications at DreamWorks when the studio was formed in 1994. Prior to joining Amblin, Levy worked at Columbia pictures.
He's worked on numerous marketing campaigns over the years for film, including "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," the "Back to the Future" trilogy, "Saving Private Ryan," "War of the Worlds," "American Beauty" and "Shrek."
His more recent projects include Spielberg's upcoming "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
Levy is a member of the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and is chair of the public relations branch.
He'll receive the achievement award at ShoWest's closing day luncheon on March 13.
