As president of Allied Artists, he was also responsible for bringing "Cabaret" to the screen in 1971. His other production credits include "Kelly's Heroes," "Joe Kidd" with Clint Eastwood, "Red Dawn," Portnoy's Complaint," "Marlowe" and "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai." His last credit was as exec producer on Michael Cimino's "The Sicilian."
Beckerman is survived by his wife Marion, two daughters, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
