TMZ to launch onto MySpaceTV

Channel will feature past clips and other videos

Frosh syndie skein "TMZ" has partnered with MySpace to launch a dedicated vid channel on the social networking giant's MySpaceTV platform.

Channel will feature clips from the first-run strip and a range of other "TMZ"-branded material. MySpace has been actively beefing up its branded vid offerings in the past few months, and the clip-driven "TMZ" is a natural fit with its target aud and with Warner Bros.' efforts to make "TMZ" a ubiquitous purveyor of celeb news and gossip.

"TMZ" TV skein and mothership TMZ.com website have been on the move during the past few months. Skein is the top-rated syndie freshman of the 2007-08 seaosn, averaging 2.0 national household rating for the season to date, and it is fueling growth in Web traffic to TMZ.com. TMZ.com averaged 10.9 million unique visitors last month, up 77% from January 2007, according to comScore/Media Metrix.
