Michael Lembeck, who helmed the second and third installments of "The Santa Clause," will direct.
Johnson will play an ordinary man who's brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom.
"The Tooth Fairy" was scripted by Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel and Joshua Sternin & Jeffrey Ventimilia. Jason Blum's Blumhouse will produce with Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray's Mayhem Pictures. Ciardi and Gray most recently worked with Johnson on "The Game Plan."
Johnson is currently starring in Disney's "Witch Mountain," and he will be seen starring this summer opposite Steve Carell in the Warner Bros. comedy "Get Smart."
